Joseph Mingrone

Joseph Mingrone is a PhD candidate studying statistics at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

While Joseph's research modelling molecular evolution keeps him busy, he takes time to make small contributions to FreeBSD and a few other open source projects. He maintains a few ports, submits patches and bug reports, and participates on the forums and mailing lists. Aside from research, he spends his work days administering a (mostly) FreeBSD-based cluster, writing software for Dalhousie's Math/Stat department, and teaching tutorials for statistics classes.

He's been using FreeBSD since the late nineties and hopes to become more involved with the project after completing his PhD.
