A a day job Sevan provides consultancy & administration services to business who require assistance with their systems or networks. Building solution around open source software running on top of FreeBSD & OpenBSD.
Sevan Janiyan will be a FreeBSD user for over 12 years on the submission deadline of BSDCan 2015. Starting the journey with 5.0-RELEASE & promptly going back to 4.7-RELEASE to work up from there. Along the journey crossing paths to OpenBSD on a DEC AlphaStation with the help of the first revision of Absolute OpenBSD. From the very start between FreeBSD 5.0 & OpenBSD/Alpha, he developed a tolerance for pain which is channeled into fixing things. More recently he has begun working on NetBSD's portable packaging system pkgsrc as a means to improve his programming skills by fixing (or at least trying to fix ) other peoples software.
