Pierre Pronchery is a NetBSD developer since 2012 - currently serving on the Board of Directors for the NetBSD Foundation - and a member of the FreeBSD Foundation since 2023. He regularly contributes to different sides of either project, like kernel patches, the base system, packages for third-party software, or contributing to public events. His passion for Operating System development took shape with the DeforaOS Project since 2001, which led him to research the Future Internet as well. He is the founder and CEO of Defora Networks GmbH in Germany, consulting and providing services around all of these projects, or towards IT-Security in particular.
