If both operating systems on your machine can host other operating systems, what does it take for A to host B and B to host A?
Virtualization always has tradeoffs as does choosing your desktop. Here we explore win10 hosting FreeBSD and the same FreeBSD hosting the same win10: the goal being having access to both operating systems at all times with each operating system having only one boot drive.
On the FreeBSD guest side, FreeBSD must recognize it is booting as a VM, and take actions both explicit (different mounted file systems, different network interfaces, different X configuration) and automatic (FreeBSD autoconfigures).
