BSDCan - The BSD ConferenceCome join us at the 19th1 annual BSDCan! BSDCan, a BSD conference held in Ottawa, Canada, quickly established itself as the technical conference for people working on and with 4.4BSD based operating systems and related projects. The organizers have found a fantastic formula that appeals to a wide range of people from extreme novices to advanced developers. When?
Location
HEADS UP: visa conditionsCanada has had new visa requirements since 2016. Please read about Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) on our travel page. HEADS UP: masks & public healthWe expect to meet in person this year, and that means wearing masks indoors. Attendees will be required to wear masks while in the conference and also comply with restrictions at local businesses, properties and/or organizations. Various places in Ottawa (possibly even UOttawa or your hotel) will still have mask (or other) requirements in May, aimed at preventing transmission of any and all diseases, from COVID right down to the common cold. Non-compliance can get you kicked out and banned from the premises - or even arrested depending on the circumstances. There will be zero tolerance for not following our requirements, or those of any of our host venues. SocialThere will be related events (of a social nature, for the most part) on the day before and the day after the conference. Call for PapersThe Call for Papers will be issued on 1 Dec 2022 - we were late; it opened on Dec 3.. Please subscribe to our mailing list to receive the announcement. SponsorsIf you want to join the group of BSDCan sponsors, please read about our sponsorship opportunities. See our other sponsors. AnnouncementsPlease subscribe to the announcement mailing list to be kept informed of changes as they are announced.
