Christian Schwarz

Christian Schwarz is a computer science student, interested in all kinds of large software systems.

Christian currently writes his Bachelor thesis exploring a scheduler-based approach to improve the cache behavior of large server applications. Additionally, he gives tutorials to fellow students as part of his university's introductory operating systems lecture.

In his spare time, Christian is an active member of his local hackerspace: He administers its small fleet of servers using Ansible and helps organize the annual Gulaschprogrammiernacht, a community event with over 1000 attendees.

Christian is known as a strong proponent of ZFS and has been using it on FreeBSD and Linux for approximately five years. He currently works on zrepl, a new one-stop ZFS replication solution.
